(16074) Georgekaplan = 1999 RR129
Discovered 1999 Sept. 9 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid
Research Team at Socorro.
George H. Kaplan (b. 1948) is an astronomer at the U.S. Naval Observatory
in Washington, D.C. known especially for his work on positional astronomy,
astronomical software tools and celestial navigation. He also devotes time to
astronomy education and mentoring students.
